In 158/a, he pointed out that half of the Sahih had been completed in the Moroccan version at this point, which is the chapter on the virtues of Salem, the client of Abu Hudhayfah. Then in 159/b, he pointed out that the first half of the Sahih had been completed. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.
