Notes
The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Almighty said, “Indeed, we revealed to you as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him.” ... Chapter on the Prophet’s hatred, may God bless him and grant him peace, for Medina to be invaded... Hisham said on the authority of Zaid, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Hafsa, I heard Omar at the end of the Book of Hajj and Umrah. The first part of four parts has ended... It will be followed, God Almighty willing, by the second part, the beginning of which is In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful, the Book of Fasting.
