At the beginning is an introductory panel decorated with gold and colors, the leaves of which are rimmed with gold. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: How did the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, begin? And the words of God Almighty: {Indeed, We have revealed to you just as We revealed to Noah and the prophets after him}... Chapter on the saying of God Almighty: {And We set just scales}... Ahmad ibn Ishkab told us... On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Two words beloved to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great. Done and well.

«وقف سُلْطان الخافقَينِ صاحِب ممالِك البحرينِ كافل مصالح الحرمَين الشَّريفَين، المرْويّ عنْه أحاديثُ الشَّفقةِ على الخلقِ، المشْهورة بينَ المشْرقينِ السُّلْطان ابْن السّلْطان السلطان أبو الفُتوح والمغازي محمود خان ابْن السُّلْطان مصْطفى خان أسعدَه اللهُ في الدّارينِ وجعلَه عزيزًا في الأولى والعُقْبى بينَ الثَّقلينِ، وأَنا الفقيرُ إليْه سُبْحانَه وتَعالى مصْطفى طاهِر المفتّش بالحرمَينِ الشَّريفينِ المُحرَّمينِ، غفرَ لَه».
