(In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar said: The basmalah has been proven for most. (Chapter on imposing the fifth) by including the lexicalized kha and the meem... ... (Chapter on asking the polytheists to show them a sign) meaning a miracle (so he showed them the splitting of the moon)... (Ibrahim bin Al-Mundhir narrated to me, Ibn Abi Al-Fadik narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Dhi’b, on the authority of Al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him) that he said: (I said, O Messenger of God, I have heard many hadiths from you (so he made him forget). He said, “Spread out your cloak,” so he spread it out and scooped his hand into it. Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “I included it, and I have not forgotten a hadith after it.” This hadith was mentioned in the Book of Knowledge, and God knows best.
