He wrote the main headlines in red, and the word “Chapter” and “Hadithna” in a different color. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Chapter: How was the beginning of the revelation to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the saying of God, glory be to Him, “Indeed, We have revealed to you just as” ... Two beloved words to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue and heavy in the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.

وقَفَتْ وحبَسَتْ الحرمةُ الحاجةُ صالحة هذا الكتابَ الشَّريفَ المجزأَ ثلاثة أجزاءٍ على طلبةِ العلمِ، وجعلَتْ مقرَّه بخزانةِ الشيخِ الخراشيِّ ... بقاءها البحري في طرفِه الشرقيِّ، وقفًا صحيحًا شرعيًّا لَا يُباعُ ولَا يُرهَنُ، {فَمَنْ بَدَّلَهُ بَعْدَ مَا سَمِعَهُ فَإِنَّمَا إِثْمُهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ يُبَدِّلُونَهُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيم}، تحريرًا في شهر الحجةِ سنةَ 1210 هـ، وهوَ الموفِّقُ للصَّوابِ.
