Praise be to God who has bestowed upon us the greatest and most minute blessings, the greatest of which is the blessing of Islam.... As for what follows: After the Qur’an, the science of hadith is the best and highest of sciences... So it was the book Al-Jami’ Al-Sahih... Yes, the correct books... And I did not see an explanation of it that included revealing some of the relevant matters of the book, let alone all of it... So I sought help from God Almighty and sought His help in composing an explanation described with attributes... and I endeavored in it to clarify the expressions and uncover the problems... so it came, thank God. A book full of everything a compiler needs.... And I am still thinking about naming it.... So Mulham inspired me that he is Al-Kawkab Al-Darari in the explanation of Sahih Al-Bukhari... ... (Chapter on dry ablution) ... His saying “in the upper part,” meaning tayammum in the upper part. If you ask how this hadith indicates translation. I said it was general, as it was not limited to two strokes, and in some of them before the word ‘Abdan, there was a chapter without translation. Perhaps the generality is only to indicate that this hadith is not specific to some of the rulings on tayammum, and God knows best. This is the last of the Book of Purifications... the last of the first part of Al-Kawkab Al-Durari in Al-Bukhari’s explanation
