The title was taken from Al-Manhal Al-Athb Al-Rawi by Al-Sakhawi (p. 19), Dictionary of Islamic Heritage (5/3918). - He wrote on the title page: The fragment that Al-Nawawi explained from Sahih Al-Bukhari. - He wrote at the end of the copy after the end of the chapter on the saying of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: (Religion is advice): Here Sheikh Muhyi al-Din al-Nawawi reached this point in Al-Bukhari’s explanation, then death overtook him. - On it are signs from folio 85 to folio 89. | Date of death of the copyist: 703 AH.

Praise be to God who guided us to Islam and called us with His kindness and mercy to the abode of peace... As for what follows... The most sound compilation in hadith, and indeed in knowledge in general... is Al-Bukhari. So I sought the help of God, the Most Generous, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful in compiling a book whose explanation is intermediate between the abbreviated and the simple... Chapter on the words of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “Religion is advice”. In its decisiveness, believing in what is similar, searching for its generality and specificity, what is abrogated and what is abrogated, and acting according to what is required of it, and constantly contemplating it.
