This copy is missing the first, as it began truncated, and it is the third part of the Sahih. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

To the one who loves the people to me, and this is to me after him, a door, two fingers, Ibn Wahb told me, Amr told me, on the authority of Ibn Abi Habib, on the authority of Abu Al-Khair, on the authority of Al-Sanabihi, that he said to him, “When did you emigrate?” He said, “We left Yemen as immigrants, so we came to Al-Juhfah.” Then a rider came, so I told him the news, and he said, “We buried the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, five years ago.” I said, “Did you hear anything on the Night of Destiny?” He said, “Yes, Bilal, the muezzin of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, informed me... Chapter on burning mats to block the blood.”
