The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

The Book of Marriage In the Name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful Chapter on the Encouragement of Marriage According to the Almighty’s saying: {So marry whatever women please you} ... ... Chapter on the words of God Almighty: {And We set the scales justly}. Ahmed bin Ishkab told us... on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Two words that are dear to the Most Merciful, light on the tongue, heavy on the scale: Glory be to God and praise be to Him, Glory be to God the Great.
