The first one is incomplete, and it has holes, as it says at the beginning: “It has holes from the beginning to his saying, ‘He narrated to us,’ and from his saying, ‘Abu Salamah,’ to his saying, ‘And he greeted,’ and from his saying, ‘And he greeted,’ to his saying, ‘He told us.’” #A dismantled copy, in need of restoration. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

Muhammad bin Salam told us, he said, his servant reported on the authority of Hisham, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Aisha, who said, “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was... Chapter: Whoever hates to return to disbelief... ... Chapter: Should he pay attention to a matter that was revealed to him... during their prayer, so he motioned to them to complete your prayer, and he lowered the curtain and died at the end of that day, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.”

بأولها قيدُ تملُّكٍ ما نصُّه: «ملَكَه الفقيرُ إسماعيلُ الداليُّ غُفِرَ له ولمَنْ قرَأَهُ وقرَأَ لروحِه الفاتحةَ، سنةَ 1145هـ»#جاءَ على هامشِ الورقةِ [41/أ] ما نصُّه: «بلَغَ آخرَ الجزءِ الأوَّلِ»#قُوبِلَتْ على نُسْخَةٍ أخرى دَلَّتْ عليها فُرُوقْ النُّسَخِ الَّتي بالهامشِ.#جاءَ في آخرِها قيدُ قراءةٍ ما نصُّه: «الحمدُ للهِ وحدَه، بلَغَ كاتبُه قراءةً على الشيخِ علاءِ الدِّينِ البغداديِّ في عدةِ مجالسَ آخرُها عشيةَ الأحدِ ثالثَ عَشَرَ شهر اللهِ المحرمِ منْ شهورِ سنةِ خمسٍ وتسعينَ وثمانمائةٍ، كتبَه: أحمدُ بنُ عبدِ الرَّحمنِ بنِ الحاجِّ ...».#بآخرِها قيدُ مقابلةٍ ما نصُّه: «بلَغَ المقابلةَ على نسخةِ الشيخِ ناصرِ الدِّينِ سبط ... بمقر كاتبه في مسجد ... قدره وكتبه ... سادس شهرِ شوالٍ».
