The beginning of the manuscript: In the Name of God... the letter F has three books, the Book of Virtues and Virtues. He said: I was praying in the mosque and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, called me, but I did not answer him. Then I came to him and he said, “What prevented you from answering me?” I said, “O Messenger of God, I was praying.” He said, “Didn’t God say, ‘Respond to God and the Messenger when he calls you?’” ... The end of the manuscript: “Al-Ya’... Ya’qub ibn Ibrahim... He is the judge Abu Yusuf Ya’qub ibn Ibrahim ibn Habib.. the companion of Imam Ubayy. Hanifa... Muhammad bin Al-Hasan Al-Shaybani, Bishr bin Al-Walid Al-Kindi, Ali bin Al-Ja’d, and Ahmad bin Hanbal narrated from him... He was an imam, a scholar, a memorizer, of great esteem, a virtuous jurist, of great standing in hadith... and he died in the year one hundred and eighty-two. This, praise be to God, is the last of what was previously promised in the summary of Jami’ al-Usul in the hadiths of the Messenger, and God Almighty has granted success and given a lifetime to complete it and fulfill the promise of it. Praise be to God first and last, and may God’s blessings and peace be upon our master Muhammad, his family and companions.
