The author of the book, Maher Taher Ismail Al-Barzanji, said about the time of writing the book: None of the authors of biographies and classes mentioned the time in which Ibn Malik wrote his book Mubariq al-Azhar, but he wrote it in the eighth century, and perhaps he wrote it before the middle of it, and God knows best.

Praise be to God for the gift of guidance and Islam and the gift of knowledge and information, especially with the explanation of the Hadith of the Best of Humans... And then the weak... known as Ibn Malik says... The highest types of knowledge are beacons and reach... And from what was written in it... The Book of Mashariq Al-Anwar... And it had explanations... So I kept repeating to myself... to explain it in an explanation that tells about hidden things... And I called it Mubaariq Al-Azhar in Sharh Al-Mashariq Al-Anwar... ...From Anas, Muslim narrated on his authority, Labbaik, with the hamza. ‘Umrah and Hujjah is in the accusative case, for someone who is destined to perform ‘umrah, or to remove the hypocrites, i.e., ‘with ‘umrah. This indicates that it was a qarīn. The previous discussion, and what is the most correct of the narrations contained in it at the beginning of Chapter Nine, has been completed.
