(The Book of the Virtues of the Qur’an) is a collection of virtues, and there is disagreement about whether there is anything in the Qur’an that is better than something... ... (Chapter on one who prays for the lifting of the epidemic) with the tide and it shortens the plague and general disease... (O God, make Medina loved for us as we loved Mecca)...and death is a decree. It may be in vain. I answer that it is not incompatible with worship through supplication because it may be among the reasons for longevity or the removal of illness. This is what Abu Dharr said. Part seven done.
