The margin of the first paper reads: “The beginning of the seventh part of sixty parts.” | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | “From the chapter on reading in Morocco to the chapter on washing one’s clothes three times.”

Chapter on reading in Morocco Abdullah bin Yusuf told us... that he said that Umm al-Fadl heard him reciting “Al-Mursalāl” by drowning, and she said... I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, reciting it in Morocco... ... Chapter on washing one’s clothes three times... so he said: Wash the perfume that is on you three times, and remove the grain from you, and do in your Umrah what you do in your Hajj. I said to Ata’ that he wanted to avoid caution when he ordered him to wash the salah three times. He said, “Yes.” The end of the second part... followed by... the beginning of the third part, the chapter on perfume for ihram.
