It has a deficiency at the end. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH.

“Chapter on the virtues of Ammar and Hudhayfah. Malik bin Ismail told us, Israel told us on the authority of Al-Mughirah on the authority of Ibrahim.... Oh God, make it easy for me to have a good companion.... Don’t you have Ibn Umm Abd, the owner of sandals, a pillow, and a cleanser, and among you is the one whom God protected from Satan on the tongue of his Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace...” Chapter on the killing of Abu Jahl. Ibn Numayr told us on the authority of Abdullah, may God be pleased with him, that he came to Abu Jahl and took a breath on the day of Badr, so Abu Jahl said, “Should I baptize someone?” A man you killed...... The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Now they will know that what I was telling them is the truth. Then I read, ‘You do not hear the dead,’” until I read the verse, “Chapter on the virtue of one who witnesses Badr and its aftermath.”
