Contemplation is an action that takes place in the moment but has one foot in the past and the other in the future. The leg of contemplation in the future is tedabbür, which means taking precautions, and the leg in the past is tazekkur, which means remembering and commemorating. Accordingly, contemplation is a high-level cognitive activity in which the individual, on the one hand, transfers the things he has learned by discovering their meaning to life, and on the other hand, divides them into pieces (analysis) and reassembles them (synthesis) in order to understand them more deeply, and evaluates the original products (thought) he creates by recombining them in terms of their shortcomings and superiorities. In the study, the obstacles to contemplation were examined in the context of its contributions to religious and human development.
