Notes	In this study, the issue of condolence, which has an important place in Islamic culture and in maintaining healthy social relations of the Islamic society, is discussed. The fiqh value and legitimacy of condolences; Evaluations were made regarding the methods of condolence, its duration, place and the behaviors that should be avoided during condolence. In addition, the provision of reciting Surah Fatiha, which has become an indispensable practice of condolence especially in our country, and donating it to the soul of the dead, and the food served during condolences are also discussed.
