Notes	He was born in 1952 in Gümüştepe/Yapıaltın village, Şarkışla district, Sivas. He finished primary school in his village. He completed the first part of his secondary education in Sivas and the second part in Kayseri Imam-Hatip High School in 1969. In September of the same year, he took the High School Diploma from Kırşehir Atatürk High School by taking the external difference courses exams. He graduated from Kayseri Higher Islamic Institute on June 30, 1973. Between 1973 and 1977, he worked as a Vocational Course Teacher and Deputy Principal at Kırklareli İmam-Hatip High School. He took French lessons at Kırklareli Atatürk High School in the 1973-1974 academic year. He completed his short-term military service in Isparta between 13 April and 31 October 1975. He was appointed as Tafsir Assistant to Kayseri High Islamic Institute on 26 June 1977. He received the title of Doctor in the Department of Exegesis at Bursa Uludağ University Social Sciences Institute in 1984, Associate Professor in 1987, and Professor in 1993. Chairman of the Department of Interpretation, Member of the Faculty Board, Member of the Faculty Board of Directors, Member of the Board of Directors of the Institute of Social Sciences, Chairman of the Department of Basic Islamic Sciences and Member of the Foreign Follow-Up Committee of Erciyes University and finally at the Faculty of Theology. He served as dean. Prof.Dr. M. Zeki Duman passed away on July 10, 2013, while he was continuing his scientific and academic studies as a Lecturer in the Department of Tafsir, Department of Basic Islamic Sciences, Faculty of Theology, Erciyes University. Duman is married and has three children.
