Notes William Booth, the founder of the Salvation Army, initially preached in Methodist Churches, but later left this church and created a social and religious formation called "Christian Mission". This movement took the name "Liberation Army" in 1878. The Salvation Army, which is organized in many countries, has established care homes for the elderly, women and children, and continues to attract attention and increase its reputation both locally and internationally with aid organizations, rehabilitation of prisoners, natural disasters, the fight against human trafficking and aid to refugees. In each region where the Salvation Army is based, there is an administrative center known as regional headquarters. Headquarters are managed by the regional commander at international headquarters in London. Small regions are governed by colonels, and larger regions by commissars. The Salvation Army, which resembles the Catholic Church due to its episcopal structure, accepts the same beliefs as this church in terms of belief. In addition, although the movement has a Protestant and Evangelical church appearance, it approaches the sacraments from a different perspective. In this research, the history, organizational structure, activities, principles of belief and practices of the Salvation Army were tried to be revealed. While conveying the mentioned issues, descriptive, comparative and chronological methods were used in order of importance. In addition, a literature review was made and various sources from the emergence period of the Salvation Army, especially those belonging to them, were examined.
