In the third Hijri century, many scholars who were authorities on hadith wrote very valuable works. Abu Davud et-Tayiiiisi (d.I33- 2Q4/750-819), Ali b. el-Medini (d.161-234/777-849) and Abu Diivud es-Sicistani (d.202-275/81 7-889) are just a few of these scholars.
