Notes
The Holy Quran is a book that was revealed in a certain period of history, under the conditions of the time in which it was revealed. The fact that he has local motifs does not prevent his messages from being universal. On the contrary, drawing on real-life events and situations has been one of the elements that carry his messages to a universal level. In this way, it has become much more possible for the messages he wants to convey to be understood and accepted by the addressee. In this context, the verses that came under completely different conditions during the revelation period became open to different interpretations when brought together in the Mushaf order. For example, during a passage where a certain subject is mentioned, another subject may be mentioned within the context of contextual elements or completely separate from its context. Some differences of opinion have emerged among our commentators regarding the perception of such verses, which we describe as intermediate sentences, and their interpretation based on this perception. In this context, the subject of our study consists of the intermediate sentence element in the Quran, the way these intermediate sentences are perceived by commentators and the effect of this perception on the meaning.
