Notes
The Quran, which has a great aesthetic value, states that Allah has the most beautiful names (Esmaul Husna) and that man was created in the most beautiful form. According to the Quran, the earth was beautified with plants and the sky with stars. In addition, the various animals that people own and every blessing offered to them has an aesthetic aspect. For example, the main function of clothing is to protect people from external influences, and the secondary function is to beautify them. In this respect, aesthetics and utility are intertwined in the Quran. As understood from the Quran, certain elements must be present for something to become an aesthetic object. For example, balance and health (2/Baqara,68), cleanliness (9/Tawbah,108), form (64/Tağabün,3), color (2/Baqara,69), proportion (95/Tin,4) and not causing any disturbance (2/Baqara,263). Therefore, in the aesthetic context, the Quran mentions not only the image, but also phenomena such as voice, words, modesty and morality as elements that make a person beautiful.
