Notes
The aim of this article is to introduce an example of salat-ı kemâliyye performed in Mardin mosques, based on oral sources in the region, and to subject it to musical analysis. Salât-ı kemâliyye, Hz. It is the form in which a verse written to praise the Prophet and his Ahl al-Bayt, that is, a salah, is recited in a clear and emphatic manner. The salat-ı kemâliyye in Mardin has a different structure from other known salat-ı kemâliyyes in terms of mode and style. It is noticed that the piece, which is performed in a fast rhythm, is closer to Arabic music in terms of its modal structure and performance style, which is also related to the geographical location of the city.
