Notes
In this study, the problem of personality and freedom in the thought of Berdyayev and Sartre is discussed. The problem of personality and freedom has attracted the attention of philosophers throughout the history of philosophy, especially in the 19th century. and XX. These are the issues that existential philosophy has focused heavily on in the centuries. In this study, we will try to examine the personalism views of the Russian thinker Berdyayev, which he based on German thinkers, and their influence on Sartre. The problem of freedom and personality manifests itself in both Russian philosophy and Western philosophy as an effort to reintroduce the problem of morality to philosophy in an independent, original status. According to Berdyayev, morality itself is a "philosophy of freedom". Freedom is not limited only to the field of values, but is related to the fabric of human existence itself. However, according to Sartre, freedom has no basis. On the contrary, freedom is the essence of all things.
