XVI. and XVII. It can be said that some ideas that emerged in the 19th century Ottoman society, contrary to the Sunni-Hanafi scholarly tradition, bear the characteristic features of Salafi thought. People who adopted these ideas by adapting them to the political and scientific conditions of that period were referred to as "Kadızadeliler/Fakılar (Fakihler)" in historical sources; However, since the Salafi dynamics that had an impact on their way of thinking were overlooked, they were evaluated only as a group that was hostile to Sufism and acted under the guidance of the political administration. However, focusing on the similarities and differences of the said school with the Salafi discourse seems more consistent and constitutes the subject of this article.
