Notes
The religion of Islam is a religion sent to establish peace, justice and love among people by promoting them on the basis of monotheism. Islam appeals to all humanity and does not allow for superiority and privilege based on race, nobility or gender. Therefore, men and women are equal on the human plane. In societies before Islam, this is not the case; women's position is often lower than men. Islam has restored women to their rightful place. In this study, first of all, Islam's view of women will be discussed, then the position of women in Ancient Greece, Rome, Judaism, Christianity and Indian cultures will be touched upon, and then Islam's view of women will be discussed in more detail and the position of women in Islam and in the aforementioned religions and cultures will be compared.
