| Notes | This article has two objectives. First is to identify the importance of hisbah in the management and administration activities in Islam. Second is to analyze the forms of hisbah practice in Malaysia especially by Islamic development institutions. This research is crucial because hisbah is one of the main mechanisms that equip an Islamic management activities. Implementation of hisbah in efficiently and perseverance are likely to ensure transparency and the ability of management to achieve its goals. However, the main question has to be answered. Why hisbah is esssential to implement in stewardship activities in Islam? What is the method of execution hisbah in ensuring the successful implementation hisbah? What about the practice and practical hisbah in the context of Malaysia's current state? This article generally aims to find answers to these questions. The information in this article analyzed using content analysis. The results of this analysis led to the conclusion that there is some form of practicing hisbah in Malaysia. However, although the goal is to implement the call al-amr bi al-ruf wa al-nahy `an al-munkar (calls towards good and forbidding evil), most of these institutions has its own approach and a more modern. Finally, this article suggests that the need for understanding, appreciation and practice of the implementation of hisbah in holistically so that the goal of Islam is essential and management problems that exist, particularly in institutions of development can be minimized. |
