Notes
In the tradition of Islamic thought, many studies inspired by revelation have been put forward regarding the "method of reading calamities". One of these works is Risale-i Nur, authored by Said Nursi. Although not systematically in the works, many principles, wisdom and benefits regarding disasters are included in the texts due to the context. In addition to being theoretical principles, these texts are, in a sense, realistic suggestions and solutions in the form of "catastrophe process management" that are functional in practical life. In short, the works are written not by establishing a cause-effect relationship between the events, but with a real understanding of monotheism and the question "What does the creator want to tell us with this calamity?" There is an exemplary reading style. This evil eye and reading method, which the author presented under the difficult conditions of the period, was and still continues to be a "consolation booklet" for his friends around him and other victims of calamities. In the content of the study, the answer to the question "How should disasters be viewed through the lens of the Quran and the Sunnah" will be sought, and the basic principles regarding disasters will be included in the context of Risale-i Nur works. In addition, the purposes and benefits of calamities will be revealed as conveyed in the works, and finally, some recommendations will be given to those who are exposed to calamities.
