Notes
In today's world, nations can easily be manipulated in line with political, military, economic and especially religious interests by using tools such as literature, media, politics and clergy. It is clear that behind the thoughts, actions and emotions such as violence, fear, anger or indifference towards the Islamic religion and Muslims in the Western world is this terrifying fear described as Islamophobia. Within the framework of Islamophobia, it now seems commonplace for the media, politicians, clergy and educators in the West to associate all kinds of negativities that threaten or challenge the personal security and lives of individuals with Islam and Muslims, or to accept these negativities as a stimulating factor. In this study, we will discuss the nature, effects and precautions to be taken of Islamophobia, which has been shaped by theological, military, political, economic and socio-cultural factors between the Muslim world and the Christian world since the emergence of Islam.
