Notes	Since the revelation of the Holy Quran took place in Mecca for thirteen years and in Medina for ten years, the surahs and verses are considered in two parts: Meccan and Medina. Islamic scholars have put forward different methods for determining Meccan-Medani. In each of these methods, different criteria are taken as basis, including place, individuals and migration facts. In this respect, there are differences in the numbers of Meccan and Medinian. There are clear differences in the structures, expressions and styles of Meccan-Medani surahs and verses. Their length or shortness and the nature of the subjects they contain give the reader an idea about whether they are Meccan or Civilian.
