Notes When Ibn Khaldun's works and their relevance to the current world are considered, the concept of "Asabiyyah" appears as an important theory in analyzing the situation we are in. The concept of “Asabiyyah” or social harmony is one of the most important ideas in Ibn Khaldun's works and one of the most important ideas through which society can be understood from the Ibn Khaldun perspective. Moreover, for Ibn Khaldun, "Asabiyyah" is the first principle of a well-organized society and is the principle that brings society together through a common language, traditions, common lifestyles and goals. Thus, for Ibn Khaldun, the integrity of any society is unified and linked to its level of “Asabiyyah”. Therefore, this article tries to address the real reasons behind the Arab Spring by using Ibn Khaldun's concept of "Asabiyyah". More importantly, it attempts to establish the fact that Ibn Khaldun's theory is still relevant to the current situation in the Arab and Muslim world and even beyond.
