The expressions "أمّا بعد" (emmâ baՙd/now) and وبعد" (vebaՙd), which are widely used in the Islamic tradition, have been discussed by many authors in terms of grammar and meaning. As a part of the classical writing tradition, in some commentaries and annotations made on scientific texts, information about the expressions "emmâ baՙd" or "vebaՙd" is included, such as their origin, who used them first and what their conceptual equivalent is in the science of rhetoric. According to the research conducted, it has been determined that many independent treatises have been written on the subject in question. One of these works is the work called Vebaՙd, which is attributed to Seyyid Hâzım Ahmed en-Nevşehrî (d. 1160/1747-48), which is the subject of this study. As a result of the research conducted on the author of the treatise, two different Hazims, who have the same name, pseudonym and father's name, and have a grandfather-grandson relationship between them, were identified. Due to this situation, in order to eliminate any doubts that may arise about the belonging of the treatise to the author in question, the subject of the work's belonging to the author is discussed in detail in the article. When we look at its content, it is seen that the author gives brief information about plague under ten headings. From this investigation and evaluation made on this treatise; It has been concluded that the treatise belongs to grandfather Hâzım and that it has an important place in its field and can be considered as one of the first independent treatises written specifically on this subject. In addition, Hâzım, in his work titled Vebaՙd, discussed this expression in general terms and compiled the information given by previous scholars and presented it in a single work so that the reader can easily access it. In this research, basically the comparison and analysis method was used, and the classical sources were tried to be used as much as possible on the subjects in question.
