The Quran is the divine word in which religious and moral responsibilities are conveyed to believers. It is possible to see expressions that form the moral, intellectual and political identities of Muslims in the Quran. This study focuses on the groups and their behavior patterns, which are declared with the phrase "Lâ tekûnû kellezîne/min..." and where believers are warned not to be like them. Identifying these situations, which are mentioned as nine different types of behavior in nine different verses in the Quran, is important in determining the moral criteria that the Quran requires from its addressee. As a matter of fact, while the Quran mentions how a believer should behave, it also states how he should not behave. In this article, the relevant behaviors and the people who showed these behaviors were examined through the verses in which the expression "Lâ tekûnû kellezîne/ min..." is mentioned in the Quran, and the Quran was tried to be conveyed in its entirety. Based on the in-text and extra-textual contexts of the relevant verses, alternatives offered to the individual to avoid such negative behaviors are also mentioned. Because the Quran not only mentions these negative behaviors, but also offers prescriptions for believers to avoid falling into this situation. The Qur'an is a divine revelation that sets forth the religious and moral obligations of believers. Commandments and prohibitions concerning morality are given to people along with faith in order to develop a believer's conscience. This study focuses on the groups and their patterns of behavior that are declared with the phrase “La takunu kalladhina/min…” and about which believers are warned not to be like them. The Qur'an mentions nine different types of behavior in nine different verses; Identifying these conditions is crucial to understanding the moral standards the Qur'an expects of its addressees. In fact, the Qur'an not only describes the proper conduct for a believer, but also the improper conduct. The relevant behaviors and the individuals who possess them have been attempted to be presented within the integrity of the Qur'an through the verses in which the phrase “La takunu kalladhina/min...” is mentioned. On the basis of the settings of the relevant verses within and outside of the text, alternatives provided to the individual to avoid such bad habits are also given. This is due to the fact that the Qur’an not only describes these undesirable behaviors but also provides guidance for believers on how to stay away from them.
