Notes This study emerged as a result of reinterpreting analogy forms in the field of informal logic and blending them with Aristotle's theory of analogy. Therefore, the study is a theoretical comparison of Aristotle's theory of analogy with the theory of analogy in informal logic. Our aim in the study is an investigation to determine whether analogical reasoning, which is reduced to a single form in Turkish literature, has different forms, which we describe as indirect analogy forms. At this point, our claim is that analogy, which has inductive, deductive and a priori forms in informal logic studies in the West, is based on the works of Aristotle; It is possible to present paradigmatically, case-based and proportionally and to distinguish them from direct analogy forms.
