This article aims to introduce the work and its commentator by drawing attention to a commentary that has been found to remain secret from the last few centuries until today. Ebû Nasr Ahmed b., the famous language and recitation scholar of his time. Muhammad b. Hamdân el-Haddâdî (d. after 400/1010) praised his commentary in his work titled el-Medḫal li ‛ilmi Kitâbillâhi Teâlâ, which he wrote as an introduction to tafsir, and stated that he named the work el-Muvaḍḍiḥ li ‛ilmi'lḲur'ân. Today, in the publishing world, a work published under the name of al-Muvaḍḍiḥ fi't-tefsîr is attributed to Haddâdî as a result of a great mistake, and studies are carried out on the tafsir method of the commentator through this book. Some discussions have been started in the Arab world that the work in question does not belong to Haddadî; but no conclusion has been reached. These published news about the lost tafsir will also be evaluated in the article. In fact, the commentary exists in two copies, one incomplete and the other complete, in our country and in the Kastamonu Manuscript Library. This concise commentary, which bears the general characteristics of narrated commentary, is being prepared for publication by us to contribute to its field.
