The Quran, which is the source of all Islamic sciences, is also the first reference source of fiqh books due to the verses it contains. There are many verses in these books that are shown as evidence for a fiqh rule or ruling. Because their aim is to make judgments by determining people's acts of worship and law from the verses. However, it is also true that in some fiqh books, verses are used for purposes other than those in question. As a matter of fact, Abdurrahman el-Cezîrî's book el-Fiqh 'ale'l-mezâhibi'l-erba'a, which we researched, is one of them. The reason why we chose this work is that it contains the views of the four sects and is known in our country. Our aim in the study is to identify the verses used in the work other than deducing the provisions and to show what kind of benefit they provide to which field. For this purpose, we examined the verses used in the work other than as evidence for the rulings, including the verses that are shown as witnesses in terms of language, mentioned as examples on various subjects, mentioned in the way of making judgments, talking about the wisdom and benefits of fiqh rulings, and lastly, the verses that talk about major sins. These verses show that a book of fiqh is not just a book about rulings, but addresses many areas and should be understood together with the science of tafsir.
