XVII. Mesnevî Commentary, written by İsmâil Rüsûhî-yi Ankaravî in the 19th century, has a special importance in Turkish literature. With the commentary he wrote on Mesnevi, Ankaravî made the work better understood and read in wide circles, and thus he received the title of "Hazret-i Şârih". İsmâil Rüsûhî's work named Mecmû'atu'l-Letâyif ve Matmûratu'l-Ma'ârif is a commentary on Mesnevi consisting of six volumes (the existence of the seventh volume is controversial). Ankaravî wrote a comprehensive commentary by examining the works of his predecessors and tried to reflect the world of Sufi thought with this work. While doing this, he benefited from many authors, works and sometimes sources whose names he did not mention and supported his commentary with them. He also supported the ideas or concepts he explained with quotations and references. In this study, the sources, folkloric and cultural elements used in the sixth volume of the work titled Mecmû'atu'l-Letâyif ve Matmûratu'l-Ma'ârif, which is the third complete commentary written by Ankaravi in the Anatolian field, were examined. At the same time, it was researched which sources the commentator quoted and referred to in his commentary; The cultural and folkloric elements he used were tried to be determined.
