Notes
There is an absolute relationship between the method and obtaining real knowledge. Therefore, discovering true knowledge and reaching the desired result in this regard necessitates the existence of some principles regarding the method. For this reason, every philosopher acts within the framework of certain methodical principles while constructing his thought in a systematic manner. Similarly, thinkers such as Kindi, Farabi, Ibn Sina and Ibn Rushd, who belong to the Islamic Peripatetic philosophy tradition, also based themselves on some principles regarding the method. They built their philosophical thought systems by adhering to the principles they adopted. In this study, the concept of method will be discussed first and the importance of the method in the process of obtaining information will be emphasized. It will be examined which principles the Peripatetic philosophers whose names are mentioned rely on to reach true knowledge. The meaning and importance of the principles they adopted for today will be pointed out.
