Notes	In this study, XI. The work titled Şerhu tasrîfi'l-'izzî, written by 'Alî el-Kârî (d. 1014/1605), one of the important linguists of the 19th century, on the science of sarfs, was examined. The work in question has been discussed in terms of content, subject order, style, definitions, interpretations, examples and istishhads. One of the important factors that makes the work written by el-Kârî valuable is undoubtedly the style he used in his work. At the end of almost every chapter, he displays a mystical approach and includes some wise words related to the subject. In this way, it provides spiritual pleasure to students who are constantly interested in language subjects. Another factor that makes the work valuable is that it is a commentary on the treatise named 'Izzî', which belonged to al-Zancânî (d. 654/1256). As a matter of fact, al-Zanjani's work in question has been taught and memorized by students in madrasahs in the Islamic world for centuries since the day it was written.
