Notes
Political parties that emerged during the massification of politics have an important function in citizens' participation in the decision-making process. These functions of political parties have brought about some institutional features from their emergence until today. One of the most basic institutional features of political parties is the membership system. However, today, under the influence of socio-economic and political changes, the membership and activist systems of political parties have begun to lose the social ground they hold on to. However, just as political parties continue to be the essential element of politics, they also need institutional membership activism to establish ties with voters. With the postmodern period, technological development has had a significant impact on the mobilization of the voter masses. This study also emphasizes the importance of the membership system and activism within the framework of these discussions about political parties.
