| Notes | Novel is one of the literary genres. This study examines the novel "Mevt 'Abâ" by Egyptian writer Hayri Shalebi, based on some terms of modern narrative theory. Within the framework of this novel, it examines the debate between the author and the theory of realism and its impact on the social and cultural environment in which the author and reader live.
