Notes
In the history of tafsir, it was first expressed verbally by Ebubekir İbn Ziyâd en-Nîsâbûrî (d.324/936) and took its place in the works of Mâtürîdî (d.333/944), Zemahşerî (d.538/1143) and Râzî (d.606/1209), Burhanüddin The science of münâsebâtü'l-Qur'an, which gained a scientific identity thanks to the works of al-Bikâî (d.885/1480), aims to reveal the semantic relationship between verses and suras. In this article, Surah al-Maidah, one of the last revealed surahs, is examined within the framework of the Qur'an. Thus, it is revealed what kind of semantic relations there are between the passages of the sura consisting of 120 verses, which seem to be independent from each other at first glance, and it is revealed that the Quran is a miraculous book in terms of the arrangement of the verses. In addition to the relationship between the verses, the connection between the beginning and the end of the sura and the previous and next sura is also emphasized. Perhaps the greatest contribution of the science of Münâsebâtü'l-Qur'an is to reveal the meaning relationship between the verses and sections of the Qur'an. However, it is also seen that some forced interpretations were made when revealing the connection between the suras.
