Disadvantage is a social problem that limits individuals' participation in social life. Disadvantaged adult individuals receive support from non-formal education institutions to overcome these deficiencies. Quran courses in Turkey offer important opportunities to adult women who are disadvantaged due to lack of education. In this article, the role of the Presidency of Religious Affairs Quran courses in overcoming the disadvantage of adult women, who have become disadvantaged due to lack of education, is discussed. In addition, the contributions of Quran courses to the emergence of the implicit self, socialization, the need for spiritual counseling-guidance and the solution of individual-spiritual problems were examined. The sample group of the study consists of adult women with low education levels who attend Quran courses in Sakarya and instructors in Quran courses attended by adult women. As a result of the study, it was seen that Quran courses play important roles in eliminating disadvantage and provide individual, social and spiritual contributions to adult women who attend the course.
