Notes The purpose of this study; II. The aim is to determine how family and child education were handled in Islamist periodicals in the press of the Constitutional Monarchy Period. In line with this purpose, firstly, the relevant literature on the research topic was scanned; The names of periodicals reflecting the views of the Islamist movement on family and child education were determined. As a result of this study, prepared by archival research and document analysis methods, all articles of the determined periodicals on the subject were examined and the following conclusions were reached: Islamists; In building an ideal Ottoman society, they see marrying and establishing a family according to Islamic methods and providing children with a correct and consistent religious and moral education in this family environment as a matter of survival that affects the survival of the state and the nation. For this reason, they believe that the man and woman who will get married must have the material and spiritual characteristics mentioned in Islamic literature. However, Islamists strongly oppose the imitation of the Western family style in the formation of the Ottoman family and state that the duties of men and women within and outside the family should be clearly determined in creating a happy and peaceful family environment.
