Jesus, who was also a Jew by origin, was born and raised in a Jewish environment, and most likely he offered sacrifices like other Jews. However, in Christianity, the motif of Jesus himself being accepted as a sacrifice was brought to the agenda by various Bible writers such as Paul and Peter after Jesus. As a matter of fact, this situation was included in various letters written by Paul (Bible/Rom. 3:25—26; 4:25; Cor. 5: 7; Rom. 8: 13; Eph. 5:2.) and Peter (I. Letter 1:18—19). “You know that you have been redeemed from the vain life of your ancestors, not with temporary things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like the blood of a lamb without blemish or spot,” the letter reads. It is emphasized that Jesus sacrificed himself for the original sin that humanity is believed to suffer from. The subject is also dealt with in a similar way in Paul's Gospel texts to the Romans. . It is the name of animals that are slaughtered with the hope that they will survive.
