Notes
Although Tâcüddin es-Sübkî produced works in different fields of Islamic sciences such as fiqh, hadith, tafsir, kalam, ethics, Islamic history, Arabic language and rhetoric, his main area of expertise is the science of fiqh usul. He became famous for his work in this field and is known for his proceduralist identity. He educated many scholars by teaching in different madrasahs of the scientific centers of the period such as Cairo and Damascus. At the same time, he was assigned to various levels of state administration and rose to the rank of kadılkudât (chief judge), the highest position in the ilmiye class of the period. The majority of his works are printed. In this study, the Life, Scientific Personality, Teachers, Students and Works of Tâcüddin es-Sübkî, who lived in a bright period in terms of Islamic historiography and left a deep impact on those who came after him, will be discussed and introduced to the world of science a little more.
