According to general acceptance, the majority of the fuqaha except the Hanafis are Hz. He divides the news transmitted from the Prophet into two parts, mutevātir and āḥād, in terms of the density of narration. Ḥanefīs, on the other hand, accept the existence of meşhūr ḫaber other than mutevātir and āḥād. However, in the Shāfiʿī fiqh method, there are discussions about mustefīḍ ḫaber, apart from mutevātir and āḥād. This study touches upon the discussions on the existence of the mustafīḍ ḫaber in the Shāfiʿī fiqh usul, its acceptance, its informational value, its similarity and difference with the famous ḫaber in the Ḥanefī usul, and its categorical relationship with the mutevātir-āḥād ḫaber. As a result, it should be said that the Shāfiʿīs' discussions about mustefīḍ ḫaber brought them closer to the Ḥanefīs' triple division of Ḥaber and minimized the differences between them.
