Notes One of the geniuses of the Islamic tradition is Imam Ali. He was elected as an army commander, head of state, as well as for his scientific knowledge and was known for his great services to the Islamic religion. As one of the first converts to Islam, he mastered the intricacies and spirit of that religion. Both in state leadership and in dealing with people, he always took ownership of the principles of this religion and acted according to them. Hazrat Ali (a.s.), who grew up surrounded by the Prophet (pbuh) since childhood, grew up with his education and knowledge. The result of that science was reflected in Hazrat Ali's sermons, hadiths, and letters. Sayyid Razi (359/970-406/1015), a famous commentator and writer, collected his words, sermons and correspondence within twenty years and created the work "Nahjul-Balagha". That work included 241 sermons, 79 letters and 480 short sayings related to Hazrat Ali (a). According to the claim of some researchers, each of the sermons or sayings in "Nahjul-balagha" may not belong to Hazrat Ali; there were even those who suggested that the words in the book belong to Hazrat Ali. It should be noted that both the philosophical and social ideas in the work, as well as its expression and stylistic advantage, show that this work is a result of Hazrat Ali's science. At the same time, the narrative sources of the work show that the author of these words belongs to Hazrat Ali. In the article, the sources of "Nahjul-balagha" were investigated and its relevance to Hazrat Ali was determined.
