In this article, it is aimed to determine the time and reasons of revelation within the scope of the chronology of the verses el-emru bi'l-ma'rûf ve'n-nehyü ani'l-munker. Although it is thought that the studies dealing with the verses of al-emru bi'l-ma'rûf ve'n-nehyü ani'l-munker, which correspond to a very wide area in the world of Islamic thought, in terms of Quran sciences, are of the same breadth in terms of quantity and diversity, the verses in question have not been mentioned much, especially in early sources and current studies, as a subject of exegesis. This principle has been considered and discussed mainly within the discipline of kalam from past to present. The main goal of tafsir studies is to reveal how the verses were understood by their first addressees during the period of revelation. In the article, a chronology has been tried to be determined for the verses in question by bringing together all the data regarding the context in order to contribute to reaching their original meaning. Accordingly; The verses of el-emru bi'l-ma'rûf ve'n-nehyü ani'l-munker are listed chronologically in Luqman 31/17; al-A'raf 7/157; al-Hajj 22/41; Al-i Imran 3/104, 110, 114; It is understood that it was revealed in the order of at-Tawbah 9/67, 71, 112th verses.
