Youth is a period that signifies the future for both the individual and the society. While the individual determines his goals and plans for his own future, the society sees youth as the guarantor of its continuity. University youth, who are among the youth segment that has a significant proportion in our total population, is an area that needs to be researched in many aspects. This article asks, "Is there a relationship between the perceptions of authority and religious attitudes and behaviors of university youth who are in the final stage of their formal education?" It was written to answer the question: Authority and religion, the two main parameters of the research, are presented with two approaches: theoretical and applied. Documentation technique was used in the theoretical part, and interview technique, one of the qualitative research techniques, was used in the applied part. The theoretical framework includes conceptual, historical and theoretical information about the phenomenon of authority. Since religion was constructed as an independent variable, it was not discussed from these perspectives. In the applied part, the attitudes and behaviors of young people studying in different departments of state and foundation universities in Istanbul were tried to be revealed in various dimensions and their perception of authority was investigated.
